Girraween National Park offers tracks, trails and activities for all. With a number of hikes, you can take in some of the most amazing geological features like Granite Arch and The Pyramid

Alternatively, you can continue via an all-weather, 2wd accessible gravel road to hike the curious Underground Creek. Explore deeper into the park via Wallangarra, to summit Mount Norman. 

No matter the trail or entrance, you can experience the park’s most remote locations, rewarding you with spectacular views, wildflowers and rare trees found nowhere else!

Getting There

Girraween National Park is situated in Queensland’s Southern Downs and Granite Belt region, approximately thirty minutes south of Stanthorpe.

The park is a wonderful hidden gem that can be accessed from many different entrances. However, it is most commonly accessed via Pyramids Road, directly off the New England Highway. 

It’s main entrance is only ten kilometres north of the border town of Wallangarra; a relaxing three-hour drive southwest from Brisbane or just over two hours due south of Toowoomba.
